Getting geared up for the launch of SupportAwards

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged, mainly because I’ve been busy with the setup of SupportAwards.org.  It is a new site that I created where people can nominate companies and individuals for outstanding customer support and service.  There isn’t another award like it out there.  Nominations open on August 1st at Midnight.  I’ll do a follow up post once I have launched it.  The idea came from the fact that there are awards for companies and their products but not for the customer support/service reps that work hard to ensure the growth and viability of the company.   My goal for support awards is to give recognition to the departments and agents that work hard to ensure customers are happy.  Check out the site: http://www.supportawards.org and make sure you return on August 1st to cast your nomination for best customer support/service.

Getting around to my todos

Tonight I’m taking it easy and chilling.  Pam is out with her friends in the gaslamp.  I’m finally getting around to doing some server cleanup, backing up some of my information, and doing some general security precautions.  Feels good to chill and play catchup.   Tomorrow we’re going to try and make it to the beach to go Boogie boarding, which should be fun.  Today at work we had an outing to the Go Cart track which was a lot of fun.  All in all it is good that it is the weekend. I need some time to relax and decompress.

Weeks are going fast

These weeks have been going by really fast.  Everynight I try to do something fun to take a break as work has been really busy.  Tomorrow Pam and I are going to Fiddler on the roof.  I’m really looking forward to it.  Topol,  the original dad from the Fiddler movie, is in it.  It will be a nice mid week outing.  Pam’s friends are coming out on Thursday to hang out which will be fun.  I haven’t seen them in a while and it will be good to catchup, plus they haven’t seen our new place.  Other than that, I’m really excited about one of my side projects that I’m working on that I’ll be releasing soon.  I have high hopes for it.

Great Week

This previous week was great.  I got a lot of stuff done at work and on a new project I’m working on.  The new project is a website that gives out an award to customer support agents and departments to recognize outstanding customer support.  I’m still working on the site and getting everything setup, but once it is done I’ll post the url and start promoting it.   A college buddy is staying with us right now, he is trying to get a job out in San Diego so that he can move out here.  It has been great to play catchup with him and to hang out.  Today I went Boogie Boarding for the 2nd time.  It was a lot of fun.  We will probably get a 2nd boogie board so that both Pam and I can boogie board together.  Other than that I’ve been keeping really busy with work and my side projects.

One note before I sign off, my brother’s company was nominated for Best Children’s Entertainment in Fort Wayne, IN.  Please help him win by voting.  You can do so by clicking on this link:  http://fwnextweb1.fortwayne.com/adv/readerspicksvote/ And then scroll down and click on Places to go/Things to Do then click on Local Children’s Entertainment select TAG Art Company

Great 4th weekend

This weekend has been excellent so far.  Pam and I went to the IMAX Transformers last night.  Which at first I was put off a bit because the theatre wasn’t in a dome shape like other IMAX’s I’ve been too, but I guess it is more of a resolution/sound experience as opposed to dome viewing.  It was a good movie though.  We  also started watching the Flight of the Conchords, which has come highly recommended by many co-workers…so far I’m not disappointed.   Pam and I also went shopping and picked up a couple of fun things that have been on our list, like new knobs for the kitchen cupboards, new shoes for me(they are awesome) and some solar powered lanterns for the patio(currently charging, will let you know how they turn out).   We have an awesome meal that I’m in the process of cooking, BBQ chicken and fresh Watermelon, Cantaloupe, and Pineapple.  To top off the dinner we have some Rice Crispy Bars that Pam made.   I also made some homemade lemonade.  It is pretty tasty.  All in all this has been an awesome weekend.  On a side note for my readers, I use awesome only when the thing to experience is great.  I’ve been very fortunate lately to have had so many awesome events happen.
